The food was the best I've had anywhere. Best pot stickers, best crab/cream cheese wontons. My cocktail was delicious. Sweet snd sour chicken was great. The service was 5 star. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently dined at Golden Dragon and had an absolutely delightful experience! This family-owned restaurant offers a fantastic blend of traditional and modern Chinese cuisine that truly satisfies the taste buds. Food: The menu is extensive, with a variety of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. I highly recommend the General Tofu and the Honey Walnut Shrimp - both were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Service: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure our glasses were always full and checked in regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The service was quick, even during peak hours. Ambiance: The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It's clean, well-lit, and has a nice mix of traditional Chinese decor with a modern twist. It's a great place for both casual dining and special occasions. Overall: Golden Dragon is a gem in Sacramento. We were looking for a family style Chinese food place and Yelp had recommended Golden Dragon. Once seated we realized it wasn't really family size portions, don't get me wrong, they were large but more for 1-2 people and we were a party of 6. We had just returned from a 3 hour drive and starving so we decided to stay anyways. We had chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, broccoli beef and honey walnut shrimp. Chow mein was good, orange chicken had large chunks of meat but some were very dry. The sauce wasn't overly sweet with a hint of spice which was really good. Broccoli beef was a little lacking for me but the walnut shrimp was decent. They unfortunately do not use pork products so we had to get chicken fried rice instead of pork. Overall not too bad and hit the spot for most of us. It's also not too far from us so it may be an option again in the future, but the the no pork options are a tad off putting.

Pretty satisfied with what we ordered. Orange chicken, honey walnut prawns, chicken chow main, beef and broccoli. Regular staples for Chinese food on a lazy take out night. Solid for what it was! Have had slightly better quality elsewhere, but hit the spot.

Golden Dragon is a Sacramento classic - this location on Broadway has been around as long as I can remember and was my dad's favorite Chinese spot before he passed away. There used to be a barber next door that my brother used, and the laundromat in the same lot I used as a teen. I had the highest score on the Cruis'n USA arcade game. I'm older now and can afford my own washer & dryer lol. We order pick up for dinner on occasion, just call in or use the online ordering on their website. Service is super fast, usually ready within 15-20mins. Tonight we ordered 3 combo plates, each plate comes with choice of 2 sides and 2 potstickers. First combo plate for my son, broccoli beef with chow mein & fried rice. Fresh, large portions and really worth the $17. This is my son's fave, I took a bite of the fresh broccoli and tender beef. Yum. Second combo plate for my mom, sweet & sour chicken with fried rice, chow mein and potstickers $16 Third combo plate for me, is the delicious sesame chicken with chow mein, asian wonton side salad and potstickers $16. Chicken was crispy, sweet and savory. Everything was so good! Hot, fresh and delicious. The ladies at the register are super friendly and welcoming. Place is remodeled with a clean upscale vibe and flat screen TVs. Love the lanterns hanging from the ceilings. 10/10 recommend.
